Summer Days Drifting Away (Weekend Reflections # 311)

Corona Del Mar, California

I almost forgot how nice it feels to walk barefoot along the beach. It's only been a little more than a week but I miss it already. Even after several years, sometimes it still feels strange not living near a beach.

Happy Reflecting!

This is the place to see and share reflections. Click the rules tab above for more information.  A Reflection =  An image given back by a reflecting surface.  A PHOTOGRAPH of a REFLECTION or REFLECTIONS.

wow- what a super reflection of the gull. I have tried to get such a reflection at the beach and haven't succeeded yet...and I will have to wait till next year to try again!

Very nicely composed with all the elements in the photo balanced so pleasantly. I can almost hear the surf and the gulls.

Yes, and the water looks pretty inviting as well. Cute little reflected Sea Gull. I bet even he likes the feel of sand in his toes :)

Sweet reflection of the bird in the sand.
I know what you mean about missing the beach; I grew up in Chicago on the shore of Lake Michigan.

The smooth sand is a perfect surface for water-coated reflections. And, of course, the gull is facing into the wind as you can see by the luffing jib sail.

Wonderful summer scene!

I am by the sea this week. I wonder if I can find a reflection as good as yours? No chance!

I know what you mean James, I could never live far from the ocean.. totally gorgeous beach-side image, can see it as a water-colour painting!

Nice shot! I like walking along the water but sometimes walking across the sand to get there can be arduous because my feet sink into the sand with each step.
